Overview
GigDecider AI is engineered with an intentional on-device architecture. Core gig evaluation tools, floating screen OCR analysis, spoken voice verdicts, tax deductions, and mileage tracking operate locally on your device without mandatory sign-in.
GigDecider AI never transmits your delivery screenshots, screen contents, voice audio, vehicle telemetry, or tax logs to external proprietary servers.
1Information We Collect & Process
Account Information (Optional)
You can use the free experience and start Google Play subscriptions without mandatory sign-in. When you optionally link a Google account via Firebase Authentication (to restore Pro subscriptions across devices or sync lightweight vehicle profile settings), we collect your email address, display name, and a unique user identifier (Firebase UID). This data is used solely for user authentication, account management, and entitlement restoration.
Precise & Approximate Location Data
GPS coordinates are accessed exclusively while mileage tracking is active to calculate business trip distance, deductions, and IRS-compliant logs.Location records are stored strictly in an encrypted local database on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
Screen Content & Optional Voice Actions via Accessibility Services
GigDecider AI uses the Android Accessibility Service API strictly when you activate the floating scanner to evaluate gig offers on screen. This allows the app to: (1) capture and read gig-offer screen details (payout, distance, and duration) locally on-device without manual data entry while driving, and (2) when you explicitly enable optional Hands-Free Voice Commands, perform a single tap gesture on the Accept or Decline button of the active gig offer screen at your spoken command. All OCR computer vision and speech recognition processes happen ephemerally on your device. We do not use the Accessibility API to change user settings without permission or work around Android privacy controls, and no screen content, keystrokes, or voice audio is ever collected or transmitted off-device.
Financial, Subscription & Quota Records
When starting a free trial or purchasing a Pro subscription, payments are processed by Google Play. We record your subscription entitlement status and purchase tokens via RevenueCat to validate access and enable purchase restoration, and maintain pseudonymous daily quota and reward counters in Firebase Firestore/Cloud Functions to enforce daily free-tier limits.
Website tip-list email
If you join the daily tip list on this website, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, and a source tag (such as home or blog) in Firebase Firestore. We also send the email address to Kit, the service that sends the daily tip. Email support@gigdecider.app to be removed. We do not sell the list.
Diagnostics & Crash Logs
We collect anonymous crash logs and diagnostic metrics via Firebase Crashlytics and app configuration flags via Firebase Remote Config to monitor application stability and resolve unexpected errors.
2Security & Data Encryption
We employ strict industry-standard security measures to safeguard user data:
- Encryption in Transit: All communications between the app, Firebase, and RevenueCat are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS).
- On-Device Encryption: Local trip ledgers and cached configuration data are secured within the app sandbox using hardware-backed encrypted storage (SQLCipher / EncryptedSharedPreferences), with optional passphrase-encrypted backup exports in Pro.
- Zero Credential Storage: GigDecider AI never requests, stores, or accesses passwords or credentials for any gig platforms (DoorDash, Uber, Lyft, Instacart, Grubhub, Empower, etc.).
3Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with trusted third-party providers who process data strictly on our behalf under compliant data processing agreements:
Google Firebase & Authentication (Google LLC)
Handles user identity, optional Google OAuth sign-in, daily free-tier quota verification, Remote Config, and Crashlytics diagnostics. No offer, income, location, voice, or screen content is included. (Firebase Privacy Policy)

Google Play In-App Billing & AdMob

4Account & Data Deletion Policy
In accordance with Google Play developer policies and global data privacy standards, users have full control over their personal data:
1. Server-Stored Account Data: If you linked a Google account and wish to permanently delete your account, email address, subscription link, and associated identifiers, you can submit a deletion request by emailing support@gigdecider.app with the subject line “Delete Account and Data”. All associated cloud records will be permanently purged within 30 days.
2. Local Device Data: Because all trip histories, OCR benchmarks, and mileage ledgers reside exclusively on your mobile hardware, you can instantly erase all local records at any time by clearing the application storage in your Android settings or uninstalling the app.
