About GigDecider

A practical earnings and mileage workflow for independent drivers.

Why this product exists

Many gig workers make decisions with incomplete information. An offer can look strong on the surface while turning into a weak trip once distance, idle time, fuel, maintenance, and taxes are accounted for. GigDecider was built to reduce that blind spot.

The goal is not to replace driver judgment. The goal is to give drivers a repeatable way to evaluate offers, review their own thresholds, and keep records that stay useful over time.

What the product focuses on

Clarity over guesswork

Drivers should be able to inspect the numbers behind each recommendation instead of relying on a black-box score.

Driver-first privacy

Vehicle profile data, offer history, and most operational records remain on the user’s device rather than in a centralized account history.

Useful even when imperfect

OCR and AI can make mistakes. The workflow is designed to let users correct raw details and keep using the system as an informed estimate.

How accuracy is handled

Offer analysis depends on the incoming screenshot or pasted text, plus the cost assumptions entered in the vehicle profile. For that reason, GigDecider treats every result as an estimate. Users can revise platform, payout, distance, and other details when the parser gets something wrong.

This is intentional. A decision-support tool is more useful when it is auditable than when it hides the raw inputs behind marketing claims about perfect automation.

How monetization is separated from product logic

The free plan may use ads and limited analytics on approved app surfaces to support operating costs. Those systems do not alter the math, thresholds, or verdict attached to an offer. Pro users receive the same calculation logic without ads.
